An Immigration and Naturalization Service employee must decide whether to grant a young Iraqi a residence permit. His story is incoherent. He tells about his flight- journey, but also about an ancient epic: Gilgamesh. With his imagination he sketches a colorful world, while in reality gray clouds float above the Dutch polders. Notes in archive folders get confused with the cuneiform writing on clay tablets. The violent present, full of nasty smugglers, hostile soldiers and corrupt politicians, intertwines with a comforting past. What is truth, what is made up? The fascinating reconstruction of a perilous flight and a moving epic.
Commissioned by the Hexagon Ensemble for the Celebration of their 30th Anniversary.

The whole work is dedicated to this frog and all other Greek frogs who have saved many lives.
